Laura Marlane has twenty-four years of library experience in special, public and academic libraries and received her Masters of Library and Information Studies from the University of Rhode Island in 1998. Ms. Marlane has been the director of the Central Falls Public Library, worked as the Technology Coordinator and Systems Administrator for the West Warwick Public Library, been a Reference Librarian at Bryant University and been an Associate Director of and Head of Technical Services for the Rhode Island Historical Society Library. She is past-president of Ocean State Library and the current president of the Rhode Island Library Association.
