East Side Cinema Night is a partnership between Rochambeau Library and Community Church of Providence. There will be two movies each month, one at the Library and the other at Community Church of Providence at 372 Wayland Ave. There will be a discussion following teach film. Attendees are invited to bring sweet or savory snacks to share. All are welcome!

Brazil (R, 1985)

A dystopian science fiction film directed by Terry Gilliam and written by Gilliam, Charles McKeown, and Tom Stoppard. The film stars Jonathan Pryce and features Robert De Niro, Katherine Helmond, Bob Hoskins and Ian Holm.The film centers on a bureaucrat in a retro-future world who tries to correct an administrative error and becomes an enemy of the state.

The Impostors (R, 1998)

In an attempt to resurrect the slapstick comedy of Laurel and Hardy or The Marx Brothers, Stanley Tucci and Oliver Platt team-up as two out-of-work actors who accidentally stowaway on a ship to hide from a drunken, belligerent lead actor who has sworn to kill them for belittling his talents.
