Providence Community Library joins with The Peace Flag Project
to offer a workshop – for people of all ages – to make their own peace
flag. The flags will be on display at each library during September
2017 celebrating the Month of Peace and the International Day of
Peace - September 21st (established by the United Nations in1981).

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:The Peace Flag Project allows children and adults to
create their own flags to express and share their deepest wishes for the world. Peace
Flags provide a simple, direct way for all of us to connect to what matters most in
our lives. Each flag is a quiet reflection on what would make the world a better
place. This is an enrich-ing and enlightening experience. Displaying the flags every
day keeps us connected with the best in ourselves and with our hopes for the world.
