Join Eve Keobounthanh for a Southeast Asian Cultural Cooking Workshop series.  Learn how to make a variety of Southeast Asian foods and how cooking is an important part of the culture and tradition of Southeast Asia.   This week we will make papaya salad.

Eve Keobounthanh grew up in neighboring Massachusetts and attended Suffolk University for her undergrad degree.  Her combined passion for food, cooking and working on change for those inflicted with interpersonal violence has driven Eve to start working on a social venture.  She resides in the Smith Hill neighborhood with her fiancée and two pups, Lilly & Rangely.

In her words, “I want to create more exposure for my Kmhmu/Lao culture and be able to give back to the communities in need, through hosting cultural cooking classes.  There are so many ethnic cultures that are closed off in getting help, whether it is for housing security to domestic violence, that I hope through engaging with the younger generations through these mini cooking workshops, it can assist with breaking down the systemic barriers."
