Nano Days! March 26th – April 5th, 2012

Learning about the smallest science scale Nanotechnology

A collaboration between PCL Wanskuck Library, Veazie Street Elementary School and RIMOSA ( Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art) Nano Grant Program brought a visit to the Wanskuck Library from four 4th Grade Classes and their teachers on a quest for scientific knowledge.

With help from RIMOSA Grant Program presenter Bonnie Epstein and other RIMOSA staff, approximately 100 students came to touch, shake, see, ask questions and experiment with objects on the smallest measurable scale, otherwise known as nano.

Check out one class using their curiosity and observation skills while experimenting with the effect things at the nano scale have on the color of soap bubbles and nail polish (thin films), proving that science can be fun!
