PCL is excited to announce that we have been chosen by the RI Office of Library and Information Services to host the Statewide Reference Resource Center starting July 1, 2012!
The Statewide Reference Resource Center (SRRC) is at the forefront of defining and providing a cluster of online library services, AskRi.org, that serve all the people of Rhode Island. Available at a statewide scale, these services offer Rhode Islanders of every age free access to critical learning, research and recreational resources in their public, school and academic libraries as well as at home and wherever else they can get online. As the SRRC, PCL will provide online (email and chat) reference services for all Rhode Island residents via AskRI.
Visit AskRi.org, the official website of the SRRC, and check out these great resources: Learn a Language; research reliable material in all subject areas; get homework help from LIVE Tutors; visit the Career Center; practice GED and certification tests; chat online with a librarian; uncover your 'roots with Heritage Quest and so much more.
The Statewide Reference Resource Center has been hosted by the Providence Public Library since 1989.
