Creative Writing Groups for Youth and Adults @ PCLHere's a quick run down of some of the current groups, clubs and tutoring opportunities that focus on writing skills at PCL.  

Digital Cartooning 
Saturdays 2:00PM-3:00PM
Mount Pleasant Library
Digital skills that involve writing and drawing. Learn about the process of creating cartoons on the computer using a stylus pen and special drawing software. Contact: Garrett 

Read & Rap 
Fridays 3:00PM-4:00PM
Smith Hill Library
Come read poetry, listen to popular music, and write your own song/rap/poem.  All youth works are published in the annual poetry book. Contact: Jennifer 

Rochambeau Writers Group 
Saturdays, monthly 1:00PM-3:00PM; next meeting February 9

Join us as we celebrate writing of all kinds! Each session includes a mini-lesson and discussion, free-writing, prompts, feedback, and more! Participants are asked to please bring materials to write with. Suitable for writers 15+. Contact: Kelly  

Writing Tutor for School/College Essay Help
Mondays 3:00PM-6:00PM

Sign up for 1 hr sessions with volunteer Stephen, a retired teacher who taught English and Creative Writing at the Lincoln School, as well as classes specifically about the creation of college essays. These sessions are best suited to students in grades 8-12. Contact:Kelly  

Creative Writing for Teens and Tweens Workshop 
Wednesdays 3:30PM-4:30PM from January 14
Wanskuck Library

Teens and tweens ate invited to explore creative writing abilities with former teacher Stephen Young (who is also providing writing tutor hours at Rochambeau, above) in this hour-long workshop each Wednesday. Contact: Denise
