Free Halloween Events for Kids

Our staff know that young library users love Halloween, so we always make the Library a special place to enjoy spooky stories, goulish games, crazy crafts and costumes, and, of course, candy!  Here's a handy rundown of PCL's Halloween happenings this season. 

At Knight Memorial, 275 Elmwood Avenue

Halloween Bingo
Come play a spooky game of bingo and win free books and candy!

Monsters & Mysteries Game Party
Come play Wii and board games of mystery, mayhem, monsters and more!

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
Tuesday, October 24 6:30pm to 7:00pm
Listen to some bone-chilling short stories, make your scariest face with a flashlight, and eat some S'mores around our indoor "camp fire."

Trick-or-Treating at the Library
Tuesday, October 31 4:00pm to 9:00pm
Going out trick-or-treating?  Drop by the library to get some candy!  While you're here, take a picture with our Monster Book Worm and feed it a book that you can make yourself.  Don't forget to stay for our Halloween story time at 6:00 PM!

Take a break from trick-or-treating to enjoy a spooky story time with some of our favorite Halloween picture books.  Feel free to wear a costume and get ready to dance the "Monster Mash!"

Spooky Pajama Storytime
Monday, October 30 7:00pm to 7:30pm
Join us for spooky storytelling in either your spookiest set of pajamas or costume!  This storytime is for children 2 and up, stuffed animals and blankets are welcome too!

Halloween Party!
Tuesday, October 31 3:30pm to 5:30pm
Stop by the library to play games, have a snack, and show off your marvelous Halloween costume!  There will be a craft and a variety of slightly spooky games to play so join us on Halloween in the children's area of the Rochambeau Library!  All ages are welcome!

The Smith Hill Friends of the Library present The Annual Halloween Spooktacular!

A fun afternoon with games, activities, and prizes.  Youth are encouraged to come in costume, with prizes for the best costume. Also, lots of goodies for the kids to eat!
