April is Financial Literacy Month! PCL is offering a wide range of activities and workshops designed to help consumers of all ages get to grips with personal money management. Many workshops take place during Money Smart Week (March 30 - April 6), a national awareness campaign created by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago to help consumers better manage their personal finances.
PCL has teamed with local experts to provide information and tips about budgeting and saving, repairing credit, buying your first home, paying for college, navigating Medicare and much more. This year's presenters include Santander Bank, Providence Housing Authority, Proincome, WD & Associates, Tri-Town Community Action Agency, Rhode Island State Police and the Capital Good Fund. All our speakers have a wealth of knowledge in their subjects, so bring your questions!
We have more than 30 programs to choose from, including fun crafts and games with financial literacy themes for children and teens. Check out the Money Smart program page for full details.
