Children's Specialist Jennifer Romans invites you to join the Smith Hill Google Classroom.
"I hope families and educators will use the Smith Hill Google Classroom as a resource," says Jennifer. "I post at least one activity daily, Monday to Friday and I have a large list of online resources that I update regularly. I post activities and book lists for children and teens. I also post a daily picture of a seed that I am growing for students to draw and monitor for changes," she explains.
Jennifer hopes that the Smith Hill Google Classroom will give children, families and teachers ideas for reading and that they will request e-books or books via curbside pickup to help complete the activities. In April, many activities supported the Governor's April Reading Challenge; now many relate to the Governor's Arts Initiative. Jennifer welcomes images or comments relating to classroom activities but emphasizes that posting is not required.
Any type of email account can be used to access Smith Hill Library Google Classroom, though some accounts may have settings that hinder access. For more information, to join the group and to get help in case of problems with access, email Jennifer directly at .
