Conversations About Race
Saturday, June 8 10:00AM -11:30AM
Join others in the local community for the first in a series of meaningful conversations about race, white privilege and power, and the defensiveness and divisions that have become part of the fabric of American society. The goal is to increase understanding, at a personal level, of the impacts that race has on each of our lives, for both white people and people of color.
The library is working with a few people in the neighborhood seeking to form a group around topics of race and how we can address the inequality we see around us. We hope some of those who come to this program will be interested in being actively involved in the formation of the group and determining its direction.
