Tiago Gualberto will give a talk and brief art demonstration at South Providence Library, 441 Prairie Avenue on Saturday, April 1, 3:00PM - 5:00PM.
Gualberto is the artist behind the exciting artistic experiment, "A Clothesline to the Past," which is currently on display at the RISCA Atrium Gallery in Providence. Gualberto has taken digital images submitted by the Rhode Island public, re-interpreted their content and incorporated them into a large, collective exhibit that is hung on clotheslines. Intriguing! The talk is in English and Portuguese. Both the talk and the "A Clothesline to the Past" exhibit are part of the Brazil Initiative, which coordinates events, research partnerships and grants relating to Brazil and other resources at Brown University.
