PC Book Drive Benefits Smith Hill!

Back in the Fall, Providence College (PC) graduate student Lizzie Kravitz suggested that PC's annual Book Drive should benefit Smith Hill Library. Lizzie, together with Monique Walmsley, a student interested in library work, met Smith Hill Librarian Alan Gunther and Youth Services Specialist Jennifer Romans in order to decide what books would best meet the needs of Smith Hill. They came up with a list of 50 desired books focusing on black characters, in honor of February's Black History Month.

Barbershop Singing with Harmony Heritage Chorus

Roots of Harmony: a Teach-In, Sing-Out

The Harmony Heritage Chorus will lead a "Teach-In and Sing-Out" at Rochambeau Library.This free, participatory event will show how the four different voice parts - tenor, lead, baritone, and bass - work together, while showcasing the wide range of musical possibilities contained in this timeless style of a cappella singing. Members of the audience will be invited to try out the parts and to sing selected​ songs with the Chorus.

Spring Fundraiser - Save the Date! PLUS 50/50 Raffle!

PCL returns to Hotel Providence for its Spring fundraiser, The Future is Now, on Thursday, June 1 6:00PM-9:00PM. This year, PCL will be honoring a true champion of libraries, Senator Jack Reed. More details to come.

We are also pleased to announce that we are running another 50/50 Raffle this year! Buy one raffle ticket for $5 or 3 for $10 (must be 18 or older to purchase). You have a chance to win HALF of all raffle ticket sales and the other 50% goes to support PCL.
