The festivities are just the start of a special year for PCL and more events are planned.

The theme of this year's summer reading program is A Universe of Stories - an inspiring title for readers of all ages! PCL has worked with the City of Providence and several partner organizations to create more than 400 fun learning activities and free performances which are designed to encourage students to start reading - and keep reading - all summer long. We want children to enjoy reading and become lifelong readers!

PCL is pleased to announce that Knight Memorial Library will remain open all summer! Due to recent upgrades to the historic building, the library will remain open to the public during the warmest weeks of the year.
