Summer Math Programs at PCL

July 17, 2017 - 11:27am -- jfuentes

Did you know that children lose math skills as well as reading skills over the summer months?  A Duke University study demonstrated that students lose the equivalent of 2.6 months in computational ability over the summer months. To fight the loss of numeracy skills, PCL is offering twice-weekly math sessions from July 11 - August 18 at most locations, led by a math consultants from the Providence Schools. Children who complete the program alongside our regular Summer Reading Program will be doubly prepared for a return to school!

Students entering grades K-6 can play games, make art, and hang out with friends, all while sharpening their math skills. Parents and guardians are welcome to join in!
