Tell Us Your Library Stories in the Age of COVID-19
The last few months haven't been easy. We at Providence Community Library have had to dig deep and come up with new ways to keep you educated, entertained and informed while the buildings are closed.
PCL is launching an initiative to collect your stories about using PCL libraries during the pandemic. What services and programs have made a difference to you? Which of our talented YouTube celebs have caught your eye and who deserves a shout-out? Have you binge-watched videos or shows on Kanopy or Hoopla? Have you enjoyed eBooks or our Curbside services? We'd like to know!
Beyond simply knowing what resources you've used, we'd love to know how PCL has made a difference for you during this difficult time. Maybe we've helped you find resources for school or work or fill hours at home. Maybe we've helped you discover a new interest, or rekindle an old one. Hopefully, we've helped you stay safe and informed.
So, here's how to submit your library stories:
1. By emailing us at
2. By completeing this google form, which provides an option to attach an audio/video clip and/or an image (you will need a google account for this option.)
If you currently use our curbside services, you'll find these details in a handout placed in the bag with your materials.
Additionally, you can also opt to tell us us your #PCLlibrarystories via our @provcomlib pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Please note that we may share some of these images and words to promote library services and to show our supporters and funders how we have served people during the COVID crisis.
A special thanks to Stefanie Blankenship at Rochambeau Library for suggesting this idea. We look forward to learning your Library Stories!
