Two New Programs in Spanish
PCL provides materials, services and programs for many library users whose first language is Spanish. This month, we are launching two workshop series, Como Hablar Exitosamente en Publico (How to Speak Successfully in Public) at Knight Memorial Library and Clases de Computación Básica en Español (Basic Computer Skills in Spanish) at South Providence Library.
Participants in Como Hablar Exitosamente en Publico learn techniques to control and lose stage fright, modulate and project the voice, improve diction and vocalization as well as how to develop and improve body language, posture and dress. Facilitated by Luis Bedoya, this three-part workshop take place at 275 Elmwood Avenue on Mondays, November 20 and 27 and December 4. 5:30PM-7:30PM. Clases de Computación Básica covers a basic understanding of Windows, Gmail and how to create documents in Word. This program commenced on November 1 and continues at 441 Prairie Avenue on Wednesdays 5:30PM-7:30PM through December 6. A $20 charge is made at the start of the course to cover materials.
