"Pequenos Autores Bilingues" - a Story-Writing Contest for Bilingual Kids

Once again, PCL is taking part in the national Día de Los Niños/ Día De Los Libros celebrations by launching "Pequenos Autores Bilingues,"a bilingual story-writing contest for youth.

The competition is aimed at kids aged 7-12, with prizes in two age categories:7 to 9 and 10 to 12. The winners will be announced at our annual Día de Los Niños/ Día De Los Libros celebration at Knight Memorial Library on April 27 3:00PM - 5:00PM.

Long Story Short: Micro-Courses with Brown
Thursdays, monthly 6:00PM – 7:30PM
South Providence Library

This new series of presentations brings Brown University faculty members to South Providence to share an interesting text, a short talk and discussion, all inspired by the courses they teach at the university.

Come learn something new and talk about how these interesting ideas connect to everyday life! Pizza is provided, as well as a homework tutor for students in grades K through 6.

Teens: Help Design an Escape Room at Rochambeau!

For teen volunteers aged 12+ who want to help the library plan a space-themed escape room! 

Using Makerspace equipment, such as 3D printers, vinyl cutters, laser printer, sewing machines, and more, we'll design the room and the puzzles, then run the event in May or June as a fundraiser for teen programs and the library's new teen space. Come join us!

Mollie Flanagan, RISCA's Individual Artists Program Director, will help you get your application ready in time for the April 2 deadline. Computers will be available for your use. You can ask questions, write material and get immediate feedback on the draft!

Rochambeau Library is pleased to announce it is planning to hold a Passport Day on the evening of Monday, February 25.  U.S. citizens planning international travel may apply for their passports at the library between 5:00 and 8:00 pm.
