Celebrating Black History Month @ PCL!

February 11, 2016 - 2:13pm -- sshea

We have programs for youth and adults to celebrate Black History Month. Kids who like to learn while they play will love Mount Pleasant’s program Black History Month: Learning Scavenger Hunt. The program will run on February 17 and February 24 from 12:00pm and 5:00pm.

Young movie fans should check out Let’s Get the Rythmn: the Life and Times of Miss Mary Mack on February 19 (2:00pm-4:00pm) at Wanskuck. Shown in association with the Providence Children’s Film Festival, the movie documents the history of children’s rhythmical clapping games, sometimes called “jazz on the streets.”
