November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Do you have what it takes to write your own novel? November is definitely the month to find out! Join like-minded writers at these local workshops, all of which will help you get from "Page One" to "The End."
NaNoWriMo Young Writers Meet-Up
Saturdays, November 9, 16 and 23 -- 2:00PM - 3:00PM
Mount Pleasant Library
These weekly meet-ups encourage kids and teens who are participating in National Novel Writing Month. Try to set a word goal for a personal writing project and work towards it throughout the month of November. Each week, there will be a chance to practice tips for writer’s block, talk with other young writers, and share some of your writing (if you want)! Contact Mollie for more.
Thursdays November 7, 14, 21 -- 5:30PM-8:30PM
These sessions take place in the computer lab and are hosted by an official Rhode Island Municipal Liaison. Contact Kellie Knight for info.
Kids & Teens Writing Group
Tuesday, November 12 -- 4:00PM - 5:00PM
Washington Park Library
This informal writing group, for kids age 8 and up, meets monthly and focuses on different creative writing exercises each month. The November meeting will give support to young NaNoWriMo writers as appropriate. Contact Amy for more.
