Linda Maria Steele is an artist of both words and images. Tending the Marsh is a collection of poems that emerged from a year of daily walking at the Great Sippewissett Marsh in West Falmouth on Cape Cod after the author went through a major life transition. An evocative collection of marsh photos are woven into the talk.
Linda Maria Steele is the author of Tending the Marsh and Meet Me in My Cape Cod Kitchen. She earned her bachelor's degree from UCLA  and her Master's degree from University of Texas, Dallas. She also creates mixed media collages and has a strong passion for nature photography. She has taught Freshman English as an Adjunct for many years. She offers a fun and creative writing class in Falmouth and Sandwich, MA called Finding the Writer Within.
"Steele’s introspective poems give us a peek into her life while giving us space to reflect on our own transitions, challenges, and triumphs.”  - Trisha Faye, publisher of the anthologies In Celebration of Mothers, In Celebration of Sisters, and Mothers of Angels
