Performances on 3rd Thursday of Every Month Starting July 16

Providence Community Library is proud to offer a free midweek music series at its Olneyville location. The concerts, featuring talented local performers, will run through the Fall. What's more, gourmet food trucks offering great casual dining will be parked close to the library. It’s just the thing for a fine summer evening – come along and enjoy the season!

Details of the first two concerts are as follows:

July 16: Kim Petrarca
Rhode Island singer-songwriter Kim Petrarca started playing guitar at age eighteen. Soon after that, she teamed up with The Grey Sanford Band, performing original music around New England. She has featured as an artist in the Songbirds of New England and the Divas of the Season series as well as in the lineup of the RIMHOF Unity Concerts. Kim was a finalist in Rhode Show’s Big Break contest. Kim’s lyrically driven acoustic folk-rock has wide appeal and her influences include Bob Dylan, Carole King, Josh Rouse and Tristan Prettyman. Kim performs monthly gigs at Remington House, Powers Pub & Indigo. She’s just released her solo EP, Leave It Where It Lies.

August 20: Sarah Daigle
Sarah’s songwriting talents draw crowds all over New England. Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, she recently produced and recorded her album Who We Are. A true collaboration, featuring Sarah’s father and her closest friends, the album features unique musical tones ranging from blues and folk to rock. Who We Are will be available for purchase at her performance, ahead of the album’s official release date of October 3 2015.

  • Food will be available for purchase at both concerts from gourmet grilled cheese provider, Championship Melt and purveyor of upscale ice cream and frozen lemonade, Moo Truck RI.
  • Performances will take place 6:00p.m.-7:30p.m. at Olneyville Library, One Olneyville Square. Call 401-421-4084 or visit the event page for more information.
