This series supports family child care providers in developing strategies to improve leadership and business practices in their family child care business. The series explores best practices when managing, budgeting, and marketing family child care businesses. Participants develop basic business acumen through the introduction of financial terms and concepts and applicability to family child care business. The series includes two sessions of practice designing a business plan and a program Budget. (25 attendees)
Participants who complete the series:
- learn effective business and leadership practices
- understand key terms and concepts related to fiscal management and marketing
- Become familiar with budget categories and sub-categories
- understand how strong fiscal management efforts can improve the program’s bottom line
Participants in this series can earn up to 20 PD hours by participating in face-to-face sessions and completing application assignments.
