SIGN UP: Free Maker Summer Camps for Middle School Kids!

PCL is excited to host Summer Afterzone PVD Young Makers Camps in partnership with the Providence After School Alliance(PASA). Camps will take place at Olneyville, Rochambeau, South Providence and Wanskuck in two sessions:

Session #1: Monday - Friday, July 8 – July 19 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Session #2: Monday - Friday July 22 – August 22 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Middle School students (including those entering 6th grade in the fall) at DelSesto, West Broadway, Roger Williams, Esek Hopkins and Nathan Bishop have the opportunity to sign up for these all-day camps, which include lunch and incorporate exciting weekly field trips.

These PVD Young Makers Camps will provide campers with the opportunity to discover interests, develop skills and track progress.Tools include:
- Dash Robot & Tablet
- Vinyl Cutter
- Sewing Machine
- Heat Press
- Epilog Laser Engraver Mini
- Quidi 3D Printer 

Students are enrolled on a “first-come, first-served” basis, so don't delay! Read the full PVD Young Makers Camps Summer Brochure, written in both English and Spanish, to find out more. The brochure contains an application form plus the contact details of your local PASA camp coordinator. 

PASA/PVD Young Maker Camps are made possible through AfterZone (PASA's program for middle schoolers) with the support of AmeriCorps, The Providence Journal Summer Fund, FabNewport, The City of Providence, 21st Century Community Learning Centers and PCL.
